23 Minute Timer

About this twenty-three minute timer
This twenty-three-minute countdown runs entirely in your browser. A solid block for deep work, a full workout circuit, or a longer meditation. There is nothing to install, nothing to sign up for, and no data is uploaded when you start, pause, or reset.
A twenty-three-minute timer covers most single-task work sessions. It is long enough for real progress on a piece of work but short enough that your brain does not start wandering on the way through. It also maps neatly onto common workout intervals, household tasks, and mid-length meditations.
Before starting, write down in one sentence what you plan to achieve in the block. When the alarm sounds, pause and compare the result with what you wrote — it is a fast, honest way to learn how long your tasks actually take.
How to use this timer
- Press Start (or the spacebar) to begin the countdown.
- Press Pause (or the spacebar again) to hold the current time.
- Press Reset (or the R key) to return to 23:00.
- When the timer ends, a short tone plays. Click, tap, or press any key to stop it.
- Use the sound toggle to mute the alert — your preference is remembered on this device.
Tips for accurate timing
- Keep this tab visible. Modern browsers slow down background tabs to save power, which can delay the end alert.
- On mobile, keep the screen awake or plug the device in for long sessions.
- For anything safety-critical, use your device's built-in system timer rather than a web page.
